Inventory Control Associate

About The Role
Daily duties
- Correct/adjust discrepancies in production to do with lot numbers and quantity promptly to minimize downtime.
- Audit staging and output locations to ensure SAP inventory is accurate with physical inventory.
- Ensure raw materials and packaging supplies are returned to pick locations.
- Process warehouse transfers to QRJTE (Quarantine and rejected).
- In-house damage is reported to Supervisor and corrected promptly.
- Monitor expired and rejected materials removing them from inventory.
- Perform weekly Cycle count of consumables.
- Count and verify inventory items in Bin locations and bulk areas.
- Consolidate materials in racking to utilize space.
- Stage materials for Sampling and return materials after sampling.
- Monitor released items from QRTN rack and store in pickable locations.
Documentation duties
- Pre-shift equipment inspection – fill out prior to using mobile equipment.
- Damaged goods report - filled out for in-house damage.
- Request for destruction - filled out as per Purchasing Department.
- Destruction log - filled out as per Purchasing Department.
- Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA).
Additional duties
- Follow all company standard operating procedures, good manufacturing practices, safe work practices and safe job procedures.
- Maintain material handling equipment by reporting any damage or malfunction immediately to supervisor.
- Report damage to racking and materials immediately to supervisor.
- Report any unsafe acts or conditions to supervisor immediately.
- Must be trained in-house and pass before using mobile equipment.
- Help train new hires as assigned.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Shift Schedule: 6:00am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday Rate: $21.00 per hour
Requirements include
- Ability to work safely and maintain a clean work area.
- Physically fit, with the ability to lift, up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to perform basic math.
- Ability to work with scanners, measuring tools and scales.
- Experience with computers and ERP or other data entry systems would be an asset.
- Strong computer skills (MS Office). SAP knowledge will be considered an asset.
- Forklift training / Material Handling Equipment would be an asset.
- Good reasoning skills, with the ability to assess a situation and find the logical answer.
- Good interpersonal and strong communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
- Effective organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
- Reliable, motivated, organized and be able to work in a dynamic fast-paced team-driven environment.
