About The Role

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) Technical Consultant to lead the design, development, implementation, support, and optimization of integration solutions across Oracle Cloud and third-party enterprise systems. The role requires strong expertise in Oracle Integration Cloud, integration architecture, API development, middleware concepts, data transformation, and enterprise application connectivity .

The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, functional teams, solution architects, infrastructure teams, and implementation partners to deliver secure, scalable, reusable, and high-performing integration solutions aligned with business objectives, enterprise architecture standards, and digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end design, development, deployment, and support of Oracle Integration Cloud solutions across enterprise programs.
  • Develop integrations between Oracle Fusion applications and external systems including:
  • ERP
  • HCM
  • SCM
  • EPM
  • Legacy applications
  • Third-party SaaS and on-premise systems
  • Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into robust integration designs.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and recommend best-practice integration patterns, tools, and approaches.
  • Prepare and review technical design documents, interface specifications, mapping documents, test scenarios, and deployment plans.

Integration Design & Development

  • Design and build integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud components including:
  • App-driven integrations
  • Scheduled integrations
  • File-based integrations
  • REST and SOAP web services
  • Orchestration flows
  • Adapters
  • Lookups
  • Mappings
  • Assignments
  • Switches
  • Loops
  • Fault handling
  • Develop reusable integration frameworks, templates, and utilities to improve delivery efficiency and maintainability.
  • Configure and manage connectivity using Oracle adapters, REST APIs, SOAP services, FTP/SFTP, and database connections.
  • Implement data transformation, validation, enrichment, and routing logic within OIC integrations.
  • Support integration with Oracle ERP/HCM/SCM modules, Oracle ERP Cloud web services, and external middleware platforms.

API, Security & Middleware Management

  • Design and consume REST/SOAP APIs for inbound and outbound integrations.
  • Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms including OAuth, basic authentication, certificates, and secure credential management.
  • Ensure secure transmission of data across systems using encryption, certificates, and enterprise security standards.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams on network connectivity, firewall rules, certificates, and endpoint access.
  • Support API lifecycle management, versioning, and governance practices.

Testing & Deployment

  • Lead unit testing, SIT, UAT support, regression testing, and production deployment activities for integrations.
  • Validate payloads, mappings, error handling, and end-to-end transaction flows.
  • Support cutover planning, migration of integration artifacts, and production readiness checks.
  • Troubleshoot integration failures, analyze logs, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide hypercare and post-go-live support to ensure stable operations.

Monitoring, Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor integration jobs, schedules, alerts, and error queues in Oracle Integration Cloud.
  • Provide L2/L3 technical support for production incidents and service requests.
  • Analyze recurring issues and implement automation, optimization, and preventive controls.
  • Maintain integration documentation, support runbooks, and operational procedures.
  • Drive continuous improvement in integration performance, reliability, and reusability.

Stakeholder & Governance Management

  • Engage with business users, functional consultants, solution architects, PMOs, and technical teams to gather requirements and resolve issues.
  • Participate in design reviews, governance meetings, and project status updates.
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise integration standards, audit requirements, data governance policies, and change management processes.
  • Coordinate with Oracle Support and third-party vendors for issue resolution and service requests.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline.
  • Oracle Integration Cloud certification or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
  • 8–12+ years of Technical experience with 5+ years in Oracle Integration Cloud or middleware/integration development .
  • Proven experience in at least 2–3 full lifecycle Oracle Cloud integration implementations .
  • Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns, API management, data transformation, and cloud-to-cloud/cloud-to-on-premise connectivity.

Mandatory Technical Expertise

  • OTBI/BI Publisher awareness for reporting-related integrations
  • Secure credential management and authentication mechanisms
  • Integration testing, deployment, and migration activities
  • API consumption and exposure
  • Knowledge of Oracle Fusion web services and business events
  • Strong skills of SQL, PL SQL is mandatory
  • Working knowledge on XML, JSON, XSLT, and web service standards.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in Government, Public Sector, Utilities, Oil & Gas, or Large Enterprise environments .
  • Knowledge of Oracle ERP Cloud, Oracle HCM Cloud, Oracle SCM Cloud, and Oracle EPM Cloud integration scenarios.
  • Exposure to Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle Service Bus, MuleSoft, Informatica, Boomi, or other middleware platforms.
  • Understanding of B2B integrations, EDI, SFTP-based file exchanges, and batch processing.
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud release management and quarterly update impact assessment.
  • Knowledge of data migration tools and methods such as FBDI, HDL, HSDL, and custom file interfaces.
  • Understanding of enterprise architecture, integration governance, and API lifecycle management.
