The Embedded Systems Specialist II designs, develops, integrates, and tests embedded firmware for advanced lighting control products, creating scalable and reusable software solutions that can be leveraged across multiple business units. This role collaborates on firmware architecture, product specifications, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring solutions meet functional, quality, and performance requirements. Responsibilities include firmware development, hardware and software integration, debugging, code reviews, test methodology development, and automated regression testing. The position works closely with cross-functional engineering teams, evaluates contributed software modules, and provides technical leadership through project planning, task assignment, mentoring, training, and talent development while supporting employee performance, growth, and organizational objectives.
