  • Engineer audio systems and integrated technology platforms that augment the driving experience
  • Combine ingenuity, in-depth research, and a spirit of collaboration with design and engineering excellence
  • Advance in-vehicle infotainment, safety, efficiency, and enjoyment

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automotive Hardware Engineer with a unique blend of expertise in high-speed digital circuit design, radio frequency (RF) integration, and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC). In this role, you will be responsible for the architecture, design, and validation of complex automotive Electronic Control Units (ECUs). You will ensure that cutting-edge System-on-Chips (SoCs), high-speed data streams, and wireless technologies operate reliably within the strict electromagnetic boundaries of modern vehicles.

What You Will Do

  • Develop complex schematic designs and oversee multi-layer PCB layout strategies for automotive ECU
  • Design and optimize (schematic and layout) high-speed interfaces, including automotive video links (MIPI CSI/DSI, GMSL, FPD-Link), Automotive Ethernet, USB 3.0+, LPDDR4/5 memory architectures, and high-performance SoCs
  • Design and optimize RF circuitry (schematic and layout) and impedance-matching networks for wireless communication modules, including WiFi, Bluetooth, Cellular (4G/5G), and GNSS
  • Plan and execute hardware verification in the lab and within EMC anechoic chambers. Perform root-cause analysis (debugging using near field probes, active probes, Oscilloscope, VNA, Spectrum analyzer, etc.) for EMC failures and implement hardware fixes
  • Apply advanced hardware mitigation techniques (grounding, shielding, filtering) to achieve EMC compliance. Perform Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) simulations to prevent crosstalk and power drops
  • Perform hardware design reviews and identify EMC risks during architecture, schematic, and PCB development phases
  • drive root-cause issue investigations together with system, hardware, mechanical, and software teams
  • Develop and implement design improvements to resolve EMC-related issues
  • Contribute to company-wide EMC design rules, best practices, and engineering standards
  • Interface with customers, suppliers, and external laboratories on hardware and EMC-related topics

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related technical field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in hardware electronics design, ideally within the automotive or aerospace industry
  • Proven track record in PCB layout design for gigabit-rate interfaces, LPDDR routing constraints, and controlled impedance stacks
  • Solid understanding of RF principles such as but not limited to transmission lines, Smith Chart matching, S-parameters, and antenna layout integration
  • Deep knowledge of EMC design guidelines and hands-on experience complying with automotive standards (i.e. CISPR 25)
  • Proficient with professional EDA tools (i.e. Mentor Graphics) and simulation software (e.g., Ansys HFSS/SIwave, HyperLynx,). Spice)
  • Strong system-level understanding of high-speed interfaces and power distribution concepts
  • Ability to work independently and drive technical decisions across teams
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Bonus Points if You Have

  • Experience in EMC engineering for automotive or complex electronic systems
  • Knowledge of international and OEM-specific EMC standards and regulations
  • Experience influencing system architecture and platform-level EMC concepts
  • Automotive OEM or Tier‑1 supplier background
  • iNARTE EMC certification or equivalent

What Makes You Eligible

  • Willingness to work in a hybrid environment
  • Willingness to travel as required by project or customer needs

What We Offer

  • Flexible work environment
  • Access to employee discounts on world-class Harman and Samsung products (JBL, HARMAN Kardon, AKG, etc.)
  • Extensive training opportunities through our own HARMAN University
  • Competitive wellness benefits
  • “Be Brilliant” employee recognition and rewards program
  • An inclusive and diverse work environment that fosters and encourages professional and personal development
