Software Development Manager, Supply Chain Planning Automation

Amazon's Supply Chain Optimization Technology organization is seeking a software development manager to build the next generation of supply chain planning software as part of its planning automation team. The Supply Chain Planning Automation team focuses on developing wide-ranging software that advances the quality, speed, and accuracy of the customer fulfillment process.

Key job responsibilities

• Lead a team of software development and data engineers to build and maintain scalable software that forms the backbone of Amazon's supply chain planning.
• Regularly partner in organizational tech reviews to continually raise the bar on engineering best practices.
• Educate and encourage team members to continue to learn, identifying the newest optimal technology for incorporation into the software.
• Interface directly with both tech teams and business teams in the supply chain to understand pain points, and build roadmaps for long-term software solutions.
• Work closely with science teams building advanced machine learning and optimization modeling to incorporate their products into the larger software ecosystem.
