About The Role

Senior Cost Control Engineer – Mechanical Job Location- Ruwais Site Location (ADNOC Oil & Gas EPC Plant Construction Projects) Experience Minimum 10+ years of proven experience exclusively in Oil & Gas EPC Plant Construction Cost Control. Qualification Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. Certification in Cost Engineering/Project Controls (AACE, PMP or equivalent) will be an added advantage. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain project cost control systems for Mechanical EPC construction projects. Prepare project budgets, cost forecasts, cash flow forecasts, and cost reports. Monitor actual project costs against approved budgets and identify cost deviations. Analyze cost variances and recommend corrective actions to maintain project profitability. Review subcontractor progress, invoices, variations, and cost impacts. Coordinate with Project Management, Planning, Procurement, Construction, QS, and Finance teams to ensure accurate cost tracking. Evaluate change orders, variation claims, and additional work with detailed cost analysis. Monitor productivity, manpower utilization, equipment costs, and material consumption. Prepare weekly and monthly cost reports for senior management and clients. Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, contractual obligations, and company procedures. Participate in project review meetings and provide cost performance analysis. Support project close-out activities, including final cost reporting and lessons learned. Maintain accurate project cost databases and historical cost records for future estimates. Identify commercial risks and recommend mitigation measures to minimize project cost overruns. Mandatory Requirements Minimum 10+ years of dedicated experience in Cost Control within Oil & Gas EPC Plant Construction Projects . Mechanical Engineering background is mandatory. Strong experience with ADNOC projects is highly preferred. Proven experience in EPC projects involving piping, static equipment, rotating equipment, steel structures, tanks, pressure vessels, and mechanical construction. Strong understanding of project controls, budgeting, forecasting, earned value management (EVM), and cost reporting. Experience in handling variation orders, change management, claims, and commercial cost analysis. Excellent knowledge of project contracts, BOQ, WBS, CBS, and cost coding structures. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and project control software such as Primavera P6 , SAP , Oracle , or equivalent ERP systems. Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced EPC construction environment.
