About The Role

Job Summary: The Equipment Engineer is responsible for the technical evaluation, performance monitoring, and engineering support of all construction and heavy equipment deployed across the energy project site. The role ensures equipment reliability, technical compliance, and optimal utilization while working closely with Maintenance, Procurement, HSE, and Site Operations teams to support uninterrupted project execution. Key Responsibilities: Provide technical evaluation and engineering assessment of equipment prior to mobilization, ensuring suitability for project-specific requirements. Manage and oversee the allocation, utilization, and tracking of all company equipment across the project site. Coordinate mobilization and demobilization of equipment in line with project schedules and operational requirements. Conduct technical inspections of equipment to verify compliance with ADNOC standards, manufacturer specifications, and project requirements. Investigate equipment breakdowns and failures, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective and preventive actions. Develop and monitor preventive maintenance schedules in coordination with the Maintenance team to minimize downtime. Handle processing and renewal of CICPA passes for equipment, operators, and drivers as required. Maintain accurate technical records of equipment specifications, inspection reports, certifications, and maintenance history. Coordinate with procurement teams on technical specifications for new equipment, spare parts, and replacement requirements. Monitor equipment performance data to identify productivity trends, optimize utilization, and reduce operational downtime. Ensure all equipment-related activities comply with HSE policies, company procedures, and regulatory requirements. Liaise with site teams, OEM representatives, vendors, and third-party inspection agencies to ensure smooth equipment operations. Review and verify equipment test certificates, calibration records, and inspection reports for technical accuracy. Prepare technical reports on equipment condition, performance, failure analysis, and utilization for management review. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment efficiency, fuel consumption, and lifecycle management. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Minimum 5+ years of experience as an Equipment Engineer or in a similar technical role within the Oil & Gas or Energy construction industry. Strong technical knowledge of heavy construction equipment, including engines, hydraulics, and mechanical systems. Strong knowledge of ADNOC regulations, standards, and compliance requirements. Experience in handling CICPA pass processing and documentation is mandatory. Good understanding of equipment management systems, maintenance planning, and failure analysis techniques. Proficiency in MS Office and equipment tracking/maintenance software. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and technical reporting skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple equipment issues simultaneously. Valid UAE driving license is preferred.
