About The Role

Job Summary The SAP Procurement Officer is responsible for executing day-to-day procurement activities through SAP to ensure timely purchasing of materials and services for construction projects. The role focuses on accurate SAP transaction processing, compliance with procurement procedures, coordination with suppliers and internal teams, and maintaining data integrity across procurement workflows. The position supports efficient procurement operations while ensuring audit readiness and system compliance. Key Responsibilities SAP Procurement Execution Process Purchase Requisitions (PRs), Purchase Orders (POs), Service Entry Sheets (SES), and Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs) in SAP. Ensure all procurement transactions are executed in SAP in accordance with approved budgets, authorization matrices, and company policies. Monitor PR and PO status and follow up with suppliers, stores, and project teams to ensure timely processing. Support expediting of critical materials and services through SAP tracking. Procurement Operations & Coordination Coordinate with project teams to clarify material and service requirements before processing in SAP. Liaise with suppliers regarding order confirmations, delivery schedules, and documentation. Coordinate with Stores and Logistics for material receipt, inspection, and system closure. Support Finance with invoice matching and resolution of procurement-related discrepancies. Data Accuracy & System Compliance Ensure accuracy of material codes, vendor master data, pricing, and delivery terms in SAP. Maintain complete SAP documentation, attachments, and audit trails for all procurement transactions. Identify and report data inconsistencies, system errors, or non-compliance to the Procurement Manager or SAP Team. Support periodic data reconciliation and clean-up activities. Reporting & Audit Support Generate SAP procurement reports such as PR/PO status, spend tracking, and aging reports. Support preparation of procurement MIS and management reports using SAP and MS Excel. Assist in internal and external audits by providing SAP records and supporting documentation. Continuous Improvement & Support Support SAP system enhancements, process improvements, and user training related to procurement. Follow established procurement SOPs and contribute to process standardization initiatives. Ensure ethical procurement practices and compliance with company standards. Required Qualifications & Competencies Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related discipline 5–8 years of experience in procurement or purchasing using SAP within a construction or project-based environment Strong hands-on experience with SAP MM (Materials Management) module Good understanding of construction procurement workflows and documentation Proficiency in MS Excel and SAP reporting Strong coordination, follow-up, and organizational skills High attention to detail and data accuracy Ability to work effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams Experience supporting audits and procurement compliance Good communication skills in English
