Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a **Lead Teacher** for our Before and After School Program at **Penn-Bernville Elementary School in Bernville, PA** for the 2026–2027 school year.

**LOCATION:** ***Penn-Bernville Elementary School in Bernville, PA***
**PAY:** $16.00 per hour
**JOB STATUS:** Part-time, non-exempt
**SCHEDULE**: **SPLIT SHIFT**
Morning Program: 7:00 AM - 8:35 AM
Afternoon Program: 3:20 PM-6:30 PM

Healthy Kids Programs provides childcare for school-age children (ages 5–12) enrolled in our program on the days and during the hours you work. - **Position Responsibilities**
The Before and After School Program team is responsible for
- Facilitating hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
- Providing a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
- Observing state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
- Certain positions may also perform management functions such as accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing.
Requirements
**Education and Experience**
Candidate must possess **one** of the following
- **Bachelor’s degree** in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field
- **Bachelor’s degree** including 30 credit hours in the above fields **plus** 1 year of relevant experience
- **Associate’s degree** in the above fields **plus** 2 years of relevant experience
- **Associate’s degree** including 30 credit hours in the above fields **plus** 3 years of relevant experience
- **Child Development Associate** (CDA) credentials **plus** 2 years of relevant experience
**Relevant experience includes:** working with school-age children in after-school programs, summer camps, classrooms, or similar settings, including planning activities, supervising groups, and supporting social-emotional and academic growth.
**Qualifications**
- 18 years of age
- Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks
- Must be medically fit to perform job duties which includes a clear TB.
- Warm, friendly, professional, and reliable
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
