• part‑time Daily Substitute Teacher

for the

2026–2027 school year

. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with students and supporting a positive classroom environment.

The Daily Substitute Teacher will supervise and teach students during a teacher’s absence, follow the lesson plans provided by the principal or classroom teacher, assign classwork or homework as needed, and take attendance.

This position also serves as a

daily, on‑call substitute role

, offering flexibility throughout the school year. Candidates may be asked to substitute in

grades K–8

and are welcome to share the grade levels they feel most comfortable working with.

Essential Functions

• Participate in the active supervision of students at all times.
• Oversee the instruction of students following the plans provided by the regular teacher.
• Follow daily routine of teacher and fill in for duties outside the classroom such as morning drop-off or pick-up as needed.
• Work collaboratively with other teachers, assistants, staff and administration.
• Interact effectively and respond to communication in a professional, empathetic, and timely manner.

Position Qualifications

Degree in Elementary Education preferred.

Current MSDE certification preferred.

Knowledge of child development and supervision.

Experience teaching in an elementary school setting.
