OPEN POSITIONS

HEAD SWIM INSTRUCTOR – $17.42/hour

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• HS/GED with some college preferred.
• Minimum two years of experience as a swim instructor and lifeguard.
• Minimum one year in a supervisory role.
• Current First Aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification.

Available Shifts

• Monday - Friday - Shifts vary- Afternoon-Evenings
• Saturday - Sunday - Shifts vary - Mornings

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (ALL POSITIONS)

• Minimum age of 16 or older (with valid NYS working papers for minors)
• Ability to maintain certification-level physical and mental readiness

LIFEGUARDS

• Must have a valid lifeguard certification
• (within 30 days of hire)
• and demonstrate lifeguard skills in accordance with YMCA standards
• Be able to pass the CDYMCA swim test, as administered by the Aquatic Director or designated individual
• Basic computer skills, with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to relate to diverse groups in the community
• Basic life support or professional rescuer CPR/AED, First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen Administration
• (completed within 30 days of hire)
• New Employee Orientation, Sexual Harassment, ALICE (Active Shooter), and Bloodborne Pathogens trainings
• (completed within 90 days of hire)
