Kitchen Assistant

The Capital District YMCA is seeking a Part-time Kitchen Assistant. Under the direction and supervision of the Residence Food Service Supervisor this position assists in all aspects of the meal program at the Schenectady Men's Residence.

REQUIREMENTS

• MUST be 18 years of age or older.
• The ability and willingness to follow directions.
• Proficiency in using kitchen appliances and equipment.
• Cooking experience in a quantity food service capacity including catering and banquet preparation,

or

enrollment

or

• newly graduated from a culinary arts program is preferred.
• A current ServSafe certification
• is
• preferred.

Scheduled Shifts by Location

• Men's Residence: Mon - Fri, 1:00pm - 6:00pm
• This is a part-time position with starting salary of $16.00 per hour.
