Executive Housekeeper

DoubleTree Hotel & Suites by the Galleria, located in the upscale Galleria area is looking for an experienced, hands on Executive Housekeeper with strong leadership and organizational skills.

Required Skills and Abilities

• -At least four (4) years of previous full-service hotel housekeeping management experience required.
• -Flexible to work AM, mid-shift, PM, weekends and holidays
• -Must have the ability to communicate in English both verbal and written. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• -Strong organizational skills and multitasking abilities.
• -Strong interpersonal skills to effectively address and resolve employee and guest related issues.
• -Previous Hilton brand experience highly desired.

Job Description

• -Hands on management to manage daily operations for housekeeping and laundry.
• -Interview, hire, train, and provide open communication and support for all housekeeping and laundry staff.
• -Enforce policies and procedures and hold staff accountable when performance expectations are not being met.
• -Manage department finances, including budget, inventory and labor.
• -Review guest surveys, respond to unfavorable feedback and implement strategic plans to exceed brand cleanliness requirements.
• -Inspect building cleanliness including guest rooms, corridors, guest lobby and employee areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met and maintained.
