Director of Engineering

is responsible for overseeing

, ensuring the long-term efficiency and safety of the property. The Director will lead a team of engineers and collaborate with local vendors and contractors to maintain the hotel at an optimal level.

Essential Job Functions

• Oversee and implement a robust Preventative Maintenance program
• to ensure optimal operation of the hotel's
• HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
• .
• Lead, train, and manage
• the engineering team, providing clear expectations and performance evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with internal audit requirements
• and regulatory standards, including local, state, and national building codes.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems
• to ensure the hotel's infrastructure remains fully operational.
• Source, review, and approve vendor contracts and service agreements
• , ensuring cost-effective solutions for maintenance and capital projects.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local vendors and contractors
• , obtaining competitive quotes for projects and ongoing maintenance needs.
• Maintain all aspects of the hotel's physical condition
• , including FF&E, meeting spaces, and exterior curb appeal.
• Monitor energy and utility management programs
• to optimize operational efficiency.
• Ensure timely response to guest and internal service requests
• to maintain high levels of satisfaction.
• Develop and manage the annual maintenance budget
• , including forecasting capital expenditures and cost-saving initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Crescent Hotels & Resorts’ engineering standards
• and industry best practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years of experience
• as a Director of Engineering, preferably in a hotel setting.
• Strong knowledge of Preventative Maintenance programs
• and building infrastructure management.
• Prior experience managing vendor relationships and sourcing competitive project bids.
• Experience ensuring compliance with internal audit requirements
• and safety regulations.

A Bachelor’s Degree

• is a plus but not required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Must be able to
• lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
