About The Role

Responsibilities

  • Cleans public areas, lounges, lobbies, bathrooms, and hallways
  • Vacuum and wash carpets and rugs
  • Empty wastepaper baskets and ashtrays
  • Transport trash to waste disposal equipment
  • Dust and polish wooden surfaces and furniture
  • Replenish Housekeeping supplies in storage closets
  • Responsible for maintaining the required property uniform and always ensuring a professional appearance and attitude
  • Responsible for courteous, efficient response always
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and service calls, delivering amenities, linens, towels, cribs, rollaway beds, and other requested items with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Support the Housekeeping team by collecting and distributing linens, removing trash and soiled linen, stocking housekeeping closets, and assisting Room Attendants as needed.
  • Perform daily housekeeping service in occupied guest rooms and clean vacant guest rooms as needed to support department operations and maintain service standards.

  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with others.
  • Must be proactive in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving issues as necessary.

Qualifications

1 year experience working in a housekeeping environment

Experience in a hotel is a plus.

Must be flexible to work all shifts including overnights, weekends and holidays

Exhibits a high level of professionalism in all interactions/situations.

Always maintain a warm and friendly demeanor.

Reliable and have a sense of urgency.

Must be able to lift and carry upwards to 25 pounds.

Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. on a regular basis.

Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.

Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.

Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.

Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.

Comply with Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.

The anticipated pay range for this position is between $20.00-22.00/hr. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and internal equity.
