About The Role
- Works with Director of Quality and other trauma program staff to plan, design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive quality improvement
program including education of physicians and staff on trauma related items.
- Assists Director of Quality in identifying and problem solving quality improvement issues related to the trauma quality program.
- Ensures compliance with trauma quality improvement initiatives. Reviews records and documentations as needed for abstraction. Assists the
trauma program staff in accreditation readiness.
- Gathers data and prepares reports that are needed for submission of quality data to various regulatory and accrediting agencies.
- Evaluates trauma reports to assist Director of Quality in identifying opportunities for improvement and evaluate risk issues.
- Maintain thorough and up-to-date knowledge of data and regulatory requirements applicable to assigned program areas
- Participate in staff meetings related to trauma quality improvement activities, and provide in-service training to staff and providers as needed.
- Provide support as needed by working closely with the IT team in the optimization of electronic medical record systems and related clinical tools
- to ensure system capabilities are in line with clinical reporting expectations. Utilize multiple software applications to prepare spreadsheets, graphs,
- charts and power point presentations.
- Exhibits excellent communication skills and ability to interact with a diverse population. Effectively interacts and communicates with team
members as well as external customers/clients/potential employees. Strong team working and collaborative skills.
Special Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in healthcare related field preferred. Minimum of Associate Degree required with minimum of two (2) years of
- administrative experience or equivalent in a medical or hospital setting required. Prior experience in quality, regulatory, and/or compliance
- highly preferred.
