Mental Health Associate (MHA)

in our inpatient programs, you’ll be a vital part of the treatment team—supporting patients during critical moments in their mental health journey and helping create a safe, therapeutic environment where healing can begin.

This role is well-suited for individuals who are empathetic, resilient, and motivated by purposeful, hands-on work.

About the Role

Mental Health Associates work directly with patients of all ages within Brook Lane’s inpatient units. You’ll collaborate closely with nurses, therapists, and providers to support treatment plans and ensure patient safety, dignity, and engagement in care.

Qualifications

High school diploma required;

Bachelor’s degree in a social science preferred

Previous mental health or healthcare experience preferred

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions using sound judgment

Basic to moderate computer proficiency

Valid driver’s license

with a clean driving record

Current BLS/CPR certification

(or ability to obtain)

Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
