  • Greet and schedule patients on telephone and in person, take detailed phone messages.

  • Logs and monitors referrals for appointments from private oractitioners and/or outside institutions
  • Confirm next day's appointments and next week's recalls scheduled 6 month in advance.
  • Have patient complete paper work and enter all pertinent patient information into practice management software.
  • Acquire the necessary signatures.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and frequencies per patient or family.
  • Scan necessary or assigned documents• into patient’s chart.
  • Make sure waiting room is neat and tidy.
  • Keep reception area clean and dusted.
  • Ensures clinical forms and documents are in stock; refill as needed.
  • Compile end of day packet i.e number of walk ins/emergencies
  • Send out statements and recall postcards on the 1st of the month.
  • Carry out any specific task asked by the manager quickly and efficiently.
  • Assist fellow coworkers when called upon.
  • Assist the manager in maintaining standards, conditions and procedures in clinic in accordance with regulatory standard requirements.
  • Follow department of Dental Medicine and Hospital Rules and Regulations.
  • Register patients during periods of short staffing as determined by the clinic manager and/or director
  • Ensure friendly interaction and communication between patients and coworkers.

Position Requirements Formal Education and Job-Related Experience

  • This position requires a minimum formal education of High School Diploma or equivalent and a
  • minimum of 1 year job-related experience. Computer knowledge in Microsoft and Excel Required: Fully bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Desired (not required) criteria include: Strong backrpund in the dental field terminology.

Comments

  • At least one year of experience as a secretary/secretary assistant.
  • Tuesday-Saturday - 9am-5pm.
  • Hourly Rate - $24.9752 - $27.4606
