About The Role
The Assistant Business Manager (ABM) oversees overall branch operations and ensures efficient, accurate, and timely service delivery across all customer segments—aligned with the Bank’s business objectives, policies, controls, and regulatory standards. Responsibilities: Transaction Processing Approves branch transactions within authority limits and secures approval for transactions beyond scope Reviews and approves OTC and auxiliary transactions (deposits, withdrawals, FX, remittances, checkbook requests, etc.) Approves account openings and customer record updates Ensures complete KYC and transaction documentation Monitors time deposit maturities and conducts enhanced due diligence when needed Operations, Control & Risk Management Ensures strong audit ratings and compliance with internal and regulatory requirements Conducts branch risk assessments and addresses control gaps Submits regulatory reports (e.g., STRs, crime/loss reports) Acts as custodian for cash‑in‑vault and accountable items Ensures accurate balancing, timely reconciliation, and proper safekeeping of branch records Monitors receivables, provisions for losses, and renewal of permits Oversees branch facilities, security, housekeeping, and FFE inventory Customer Service Manages end‑to‑end customer experience within the branch Addresses inquiries, concerns, and complaints within prescribed TAT Ensures strong customer satisfaction scores Supports initiatives under the Bank’s consumer protection program People Management Leads and supervises branch personnel; sets goals and provides continuous coaching Ensures staff training, certifications, and performance reviews Recommends promotions and manages disciplinary actions when necessary Oversees staff rotation, scheduling, and developmental opportunities Other Tasks Performs additional functions that may be assigned from time to time Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business Administration or related fields With 3-5 years of experience in branch banking operations With experience in people management
