About The Role

About the role

  • We are seeking
  • an experienced and visionary People & Culture (P&C) Lead
  • who will be responsible for building and strengthening a
  • human-centric, values-driven culture
  • at Sanjhi Sikhiya Foundation. This role will design and drive people practices across the employee lifecycle i.e.
  • onboarding, performance evaluation, learning & development, and culture building
  • , while ensuring alignment with the organisation’s mission and values.

Core Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Culture & Values Stewardship
  • Champion and embed the Foundation’s values across all people practices and organisational processes.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and growth-oriented workplace culture.
  • Act as a thought partner to senior leadership on people, culture, and organisational decisions.
  • Strengthen alignment between organisational values and everyday behaviours.
  1. Talent Onboarding & Employee Experience
  • Design and implement structured, warm, and effective onboarding journeys for new team members.
  • Ensure smooth and transparent employee lifecycle processes—from joining to exit.
  • Strengthen employee engagement, well-being, and retention initiatives.
  • Create mechanisms to regularly listen to employee voices and act on feedback.
  1. Performance Management & Growth
  • Design and manage a fair, transparent, and developmental performance management system.
  • Enable continuous feedback, coaching, and goal-setting conversations across the organisation.
  • Support managers in conducting performance and leadership conversations with empathy and clarity.
  • Ensure performance systems balance accountability with growth and learning.
  1. Learning & Continuous Development
  • Build a culture of continuous learning, reflection, and self-improvement.
  • Identify learning needs and design development interventions for individuals and teams.
  • Facilitate leadership development and capability-building initiatives.
  • Support succession planning and long-term talent development.
  1. HR Systems, Policies & Compliance
  • Create, strengthen, and regularly update HR policies, processes, and documentation.
  • Ensure statutory compliance and ethical HR practices at all times.
  • Implement and manage simple, efficient HR systems to support people operations.
  • Maintain accurate records and support audits, reviews, and compliance requirements.

Experience & Qualifications

Minimum

  • 6–8 years
  • of progressive experience in HR, People Operations, or People & Culture roles.
  • Prior experience in
  • mission-driven, social sector, or values-based organisations
  • preferred.
  • Strong understanding of performance management, learning & development, and culture building.
  • Proven ability to balance empathy with structure, and people care with organisational needs.
  • Excellent listening, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • High levels of integrity, self-reflection, and alignment with human-centric leadership.
