About The Role

POSITION : DEPOSIT/PICK-UP (DPU) TELLER ​ REPORTS TO : ​ CASH UNIT HEAD DIRECTLY SUPERVISES : N/A UNIT / DEPARTMENT : CASH UNIT / CASH & ATM MANAGEMENT DIVISION / GROUP : CASH CLEARING & BACK-OFFICE SUPPORT / OPERATIONS GROUP / OFFICE OF THE COO JOB SUMMARY The DPU Teller is tasked to deliver Cash requisition to and/or pick up turn over from branches and to render deposit pick up service to clients within his area of responsibility. He/She services the off-branch ATMs assigned to Cash Operations. The Deposit / Pick-up Teller also acts as the Team Leader of the Armored Car Team. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Performs Deposit Pick-up services depending on the agreed MOA with the client, can be piece count, bundle count or count of sealed deposits in the presence of the depositor or its authorized representative · Performs Cash Deliveries to clients whether mode of payment is cash to cash or debit to account (with cash delivery agreement) · Performs as Posting Teller o Using the run-ups received from the DPU-Teller, perform balancing of actual cash or check totals against the actual deposit slips totals. o Posts the Cash or Check Deposit transactions. o Performs eyeball checking on the details of the machine-validated Deposit Slip. o Saves/downloads all necessary reports from MV Tellering · Performs Call back and eyeball procedures · Acts as the overall in-charge of the Armored Car Crew (AC Crew) and AC movements. AC Teller shall take a security orientation before being assigned as such o Acts as the authorized AC Crew to carry a mobile phone during cash transit, for reporting to the designated Cash Centers or Branches and emergency purposes. AC Teller is authorized to confiscate mobile phones carried/used by other AC crew while in transit. o Ensures the completeness of materials prior to departure (i.e., SBC Company ID, ballpen, trip ticket, logbook, calculator and portable money counter if applicable, etc.). o Ensures that the total amount of money is within the approved carrying limit per AC. In case of excess (from the approved carrying limit), another AC shall be provided to load and transport the excess amount. In no case shall one AC be loaded with amount exceeding the approved limit. o Ensures that all money and securities placed and locked in duffel bags are locked inside the AC vault and ensure that the AC vault is properly locked while in transit. o Informs the AC Driver of their destination upon departure from each client/branch only. o Ensures that AC vault is empty of duffel bags, coin bags and other valuables upon arrival at the home-base (Cash Hub/Center). o Ensures that the trip schedule outlined in the trip ticket is strictly followed, and that all other existing policies regarding deposit/pick-up, cash transfer and delivery are adhered to. o Immediately report to home-base or Security Department any circumstances that may hamper AC operation. · Performs other duties: o Performs as trainer for newly hired DPU Tellers. o Submits AC Trip Ticket for encoding of cash unit head/designated officer to Enhanced AC Tellering System. o Assists the Asst. Cash Unit Head or designated alternate in preparing the cash tickets for the change fund request of DPU clients and cash requests of Branches for the next working day. o Performs as alternate, if so required. § BSP Representative § BRINKS and Unit’s MV Tellering custodian/cashier § Money Sorter § Posting Teller for checks deposits. § ATM Custodian § Co-custodian of Cash Unit Head/ Asst. Cash Unit Head in main vault/safe combinations/grill access and emergency vault. It is accepted and understood that the employee may perform other related tasks which may be assigned from time to time. JOB QUALIFICATIONS Years of Related Experience : ​no prior experience required Educational Attainment/Required course (if applicable) : ​Bachelor’s Degree Required Certification/Professional License ( if applicable ): N/A Field of Specialization ( if applicable ): ​Banking and Finance, Operations Knowledge and Skills Requirements: · Good communication skills (written and oral comprehension and expression) · Attention to details and analytical skills · Familiarity with files maintenance and records management system · Knowledge in Bank’s policy and practices · Knowledge in BSP rules and regulation · Ability to work well with people from various socio-economic classes · Trustworthy · Computer Literate
