About The Role
About the Role As a Credit Analyst , you will be responsible for the evaluation, structuring, and recommendation of leasing and loan facilities in accordance with SBM Leasing’s credit policies and risk standards. You will conduct an in-depth financial and credit analysis, identifying key risks, recommending appropriate mitigants, and ensuring that all proposals submitted for approval are complete, accurate, and well-supported. How you will contribute Prepare comprehensive Credit Proposals (CP) based on thorough financial, industry, and borrower analysis Evaluate creditworthiness of borrowers Perform periodic review of term loan accounts, including assessment of repayment capacity, financial performance, and compliance with approved terms and conditions Analyze loan utilization, repayment trends, and compliance terms and conditions of existing accounts in the portfolio to identify early warning signals Support credit reviews for renewal, line increases, or restructuring of existing term loan facilities Prepare detailed financial analysis based on audited and/or management financial statements Assess borrower’s repayment capacity using financial ratios, cash flow analysis, and projections Prepare and process credit scorecards using applicable systems Participate in client calls, site visits, and interviews with Relationship Managers (RM/TH) to understand business operations and risk profile Conduct ocular inspections and validate business existence and operational soundness Coordinate with clients and RMs for document requirements and clarifications Assist RMs in presenting and defending credit proposals before the Credit Committee meeting Ensure strict adherence to internal credit policies, regulatory requirements, and approval conditions Maintain proper documentation and filing of credit proposals, scorecards, and supporting analysis in shared systems Upload Credit Proposals and scorecards to designated repositories Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time What we're looking for At least 2 years of experience in credit evaluation and financial analysis from banking, leasing, and/or lending operations Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is not required but a plus Strong financial analysis and credit assessment skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Expert in MS Excel and has working experience with financial modelling tools/systems (e.g. Optimist, Excel-based tools, Camelot)
