POSITION TITLE : IT Governance Officer REPORTS TO : Planning and Governance Head DIRECTLY SUPERVISES : n/a UNIT / DEPARTMENT : Planning and Governance DIVISION : IT Division NEW OR EXISTING ROLE? : ☒ New ☐ Existing JOB SUMMARY The IT Governance Officer supports the organization’s governance framework by ensuring compliance with IT policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. This role assists in monitoring, documenting, and improving governance processes, while providing guidance to teams on best practices for IT risk management, security, audit and operational compliance. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Establishes Review process and maintenance of various Compliance, Risk and Audit related processes. Identify areas of improvement and resource optimization. · Assist in the dissemination and implementation of updated IT governance policies, procedures, and regulatory circulars. Support compliance monitoring activities, including internal audits, risk assessments, and security reviews. Maintain accurate documentation of governance-related activities, reports, and compliance records. Coordinate with internal teams to address governance gaps, audit findings, and process improvements. Participate in internal and external meetings related to IT governance, risk, audit and compliance. Provide training and awareness sessions on IT governance policies and standards. Assist in tracking and reporting key governance metrics to management. JOB QUALIFICATIONS · Educational Attainment: Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field · Required course: BSIT, Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience. · Required Certification/Professional License: Knowledge of IT governance frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ITIL, ISO 27001) is an advantage. · Years of Work Experience: 5 to 10 years of experience in governance, process design, transformation roles. · Field of Specialization (if applicable): Banking, Financial Technology/Fintech, Business Process Outsourcing/BPO Knowledge and Skills Requirement v Strong understanding of IT compliance, risk management, and security principles. v Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing governance frameworks. v Able to lead and be a collaborative team player with excellent communication skills. v Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication skills. v Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple priorities. v Attention to detail and accuracy . v Analytical and problem-solving skills. v Integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive information. v Proactive and adaptable in a fast-paced environment. v Independent and able to work with minimal supervision.
