Key Responsibilities
Manual Testing
- Understand product requirements, functional flows, and business logic. Design and execute
- test cases, test scenarios, and test data
Perform
- functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing.
- Identify, log, track, and verify bugs using defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira)
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve issues. Participate in requirement reviews and provide early QA feedback
Automation Testing (Playwright)
- Write and maintain
- UI automation tests using Playwright.
Work with
Java or TypeScript
- for test automation
- Execute automated test suites and analyze results. Assist in improving test coverage and automation stability. Follow best practices for test structure, selectors, and assertions.
API Testing
Perform
- API testing using tools like Postman / REST clients.
- Validate request/response payloads, status codes, and error handling
- Basic understanding of
- REST APIs, JSON, headers, authentication.
- Automate API tests using rest assured / playwright. Performance Testing (Good to Have)
- Basic knowledge of
- performance and load testing concepts.
Exposure to
- Apache JMeter.
- Ability to execute simple load tests and analyze basic reports
Required Skills & Qualifications
Must Have
- 1-3 year of experience or internship experience in
- software testing.
- Strong understanding of
- software testing fundamentals.
Knowledge of
- manual testing methodologies.
- Basic understanding of
- automation testing concepts
- Hands-on or academic experience with
Playwright (Java or TypeScript)
Knowledge of
- Git / version control
- Basic understanding of
- CI/CD pipelines
- Basic knowledge of
- API testing
Familiarity with
SDLC and STLC
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Good to Have
Experience with
JavaScript / TypeScript or Java
Exposure to
JMeter or performance testing
Familiarity with
Linux commands
