Construction Inspector

Provide Inspector services for MDOT type Construction Inspection Projects Conduct measurements and documentation of construction activities to ensure compliance with contract documents. Perform basic material testing activities and supplying results for internal and external purposes. Testing may include Hot Mix Asphalt, Portland Cement Concrete and soils/aggregates Review Contract Documents Coordinate with Clients and Contractors Prepare records for oversight of construction Projects including daily inspection reports, testing protocols and the MDOT system for record keeping Prepare for and assist in running meetings Develop and maintain project records throughout construction Prepare pay requisitions and change orders Monitor, manage and execute necessary material testing Prepare project correspondence Coordinate with utility companies and various agencies of the industry as necessary Work may involve working nights, weekends and holidays Work beyond eight hours per day and beyond 40 hours per week may be required.
