PROJECT MANAGER

Section II: Job Summary To lead and manage the overall planning and coordination of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives, timely execution, and compliance with regulatory and technical standards. Section III: Do – Key Activities and responsibilities of the role Perspective Responsibility Job Responsibilities Strategic Planning & Execution Develop and implement strategic plans for BESS deployment in alignment with company goals. Evaluate market trends and regulatory frameworks to identify BESS opportunities. Define KPIs and roadmaps for BESS project rollouts. Project Coordination Coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, construction, and finance to ensure smooth project execution. Monitor progress across multiple BESS projects to ensure time, cost, and quality targets are met. Ensure integration of BESS with grid, solar, wind, or other energy assets where applicable. Stakeholder Management Liaise with government bodies, utilities, and regulatory authorities for approvals and compliance. Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding BESS planning and updates. Budgeting & Resource Planning Prepare budgets, forecasts, and resource plans for BESS projects. Monitor expenditures and optimize resource allocation. Risk & Compliance Management Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies. Ensure all projects comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Team Leadership Lead and mentor a team of planners, analysts, and coordinators. Drive continuous improvement in planning methodologies and tools. Job Description · Proven leadership and organizational skills. · Excellent project management and planning capabilities (e.g., Primavera, MS Project). · Deep understanding of the BESS value chain – from design to deployment. · Strong interpersonal and communication skills. · Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously. Section IV: DELIVER – KEY OUTPUTS / RESULTS FROM THE ROLE Key Performance Indicators (KPI) What are the measurable indicators for the role? Measurable Deliverables At least 8+ years specific to BESS, energy storage, or hybrid power systems. Knowledge of global BESS standards (e.g., UL 9540, IEC 62933, IEEE 1547). Experience levels required to execute this role E.g. 2-5 yrs of experience as an Electrical Engineering in Battery/Solar Grid Specific Experience 8 + years in electric engineering in Battery/Automative. Over all Experience 8 + years in electric engineering in Battery/Automative. Behavioral skills / competencies required for the role. E.g. Attention to detail Behavioral Skills Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
