About The Role
. A Deputy Manager – Accounts & Finance is responsible for managing accounting operations, ensuring financial accuracy, supporting compliance, and assisting senior management with financial planning and reporting. Key Job Responsibilities Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports. Ensure timely closure of books of accounts in accordance with accounting standards and company policies. Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow management. Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to support business decisions. Handle statutory compliance, including GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, and other regulatory requirements (as applicable). Coordinate internal and statutory audits and ensure timely resolution of audit observations. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal financial controls. Manage banking activities, including fund management, bank reconciliations, and loan documentation. Support financial planning, cost control, and profitability analysis. Prepare and review MIS reports for senior management. Supervise and guide the accounts team, allocating work and reviewing performance. Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, and government authorities. Maintain proper accounting records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and implement automation where feasible. Assist the Finance Manager or Head of Finance in strategic financial planning and decision-making. Required Skills Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting. Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Tally ERP, or Microsoft Dynamics. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis. Knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance. Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Leadership, communication, and team management abilities. Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Typical Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Commerce (<B.Com>), Finance, or Accounting.
