General Labourer / Production Worker

Location: Kent, NB General Summary The General Labourer supports daily plant and field operations to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous production. This role is responsible for assisting with material handling, equipment operation, and general maintenance tasks in a dynamic plant and bog environment. Essential Job Functions Strictly adhere to all plant safety practices, procedures, and programs Assist with production operations and general labour duties within the plant and bog Perform material handling tasks including lifting, moving, and staging product and supplies Support equipment operation and production processes as required Assist with cleaning, housekeeping, and maintaining work areas to plant standards Work collaboratively with plant personnel to support operational needs and resolve issues Load and unload materials and assist with shipping and receiving activities Perform basic equipment checks and report any issues to supervision Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong commitment to safety and ability to follow established procedures Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor and industrial environment Reliable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physical ability to perform labour-intensive tasks and work in varying weather conditions Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a plant, industrial, or agricultural (bog) environment Forklift operation experience or certification Experience operating production or press equipment Mechanical aptitude or experience working with equipment Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred Previous general labour experience considered an asset Work Environment Combination of indoor plant and outdoor bog work Exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, dust, and industrial equipment Must be able to navigate uneven terrain and plant facilities, including stairs Physical Demands Ability to lift up to [40–50 lbs] Frequent standing, walking, bending, and manual handling Use of hand tools, equipment, and industrial vehicles as required
