Lead - Area Engineering

Group Company: Suzlon Energy Limited Designation: Lead - Area Engineering Office Location: Position description: Description Primary Responsibilities: To lead and manage area‑level engineering operations under OMS, ensuring high turbine availability, technical excellence, safety compliance, and effective execution of engineering strategies across multiple sites. Key Responsibilities Lead area engineering operations covering preventive maintenance, breakdown management, and reliability improvement. Ensure compliance with OMS engineering standards, SOPs, and safety guidelines. Drive turbine performance improvement, failure analysis, and corrective / preventive actions. Provide technical leadership and guidance to Site Engineers and Incharge – Site Engineering. Coordinate with OEMs, SCM, HSE, and Planning teams to ensure timely resolution of engineering issues. Review and approve engineering reports, RCA, technical deviations, and design changes. Monitor KPIs, uptime, availability, and cost optimization initiatives for the assigned area. Support audits, inspections, customer interactions, and technical reviews. Manage contractor performance, quality assurance, and resource optimization. Drive continuous improvement and standardization initiatives across sites. Education & Experience BE / BTech in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering. 12–15 years of experience in OMS / O&M engineering, preferably in wind or renewable energy. Proven experience in multi‑site engineering leadership roles. Key Skills & Competencies Strong expertise in wind turbine systems and OMS engineering practices.
