About The Role
Job Summary We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Windows Device Driver Engineer with strong expertise in Windows kernel-mode driver development, networking drivers, and virtualization technologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing Windows drivers for x86 platforms, preferably with AMD or similar architectures, and possess deep knowledge of VirtIO, virtualization stacks, and low-level hardware interfaces. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, maintain, and optimize Windows kernel-mode device drivers for networking and platform devices. Develop and enhance Windows networking drivers for high-performance networking solutions. Design and implement VirtIO-based paravirtualized drivers for Windows platforms. Work with virtualization technologies such as Xen, KVM, and QEMU device models. Develop and debug Windows kernel-mode drivers using WDM, KMDF, and UMDF frameworks. Perform root cause analysis and debug kernel crashes using WinDbg and other debugging tools. Analyze memory dumps and troubleshoot complex kernel-level issues. Support PCIe device enumeration, device ID management, and hardware integration. Work closely with hardware teams for Ethernet MAC/PHY integration and redriver configuration. Participate in WHQL certification activities and ensure driver compliance with Microsoft standards. Collaborate with firmware, hardware, and validation teams to deliver high-quality driver solutions. Prepare technical documentation, design specifications, and debugging reports. Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in Windows device driver development. Experience working on AMD or similar x86-based platforms is preferred. Required Technical Skills Strong experience in Windows driver development. Strong expertise in Windows networking driver development. Hands-on experience with VirtIO architecture and paravirtualized drivers. Experience with Windows kernel-mode driver frameworks: WDM KMDF UMDF Strong proficiency in C and C++. Experience using debugging tools such as: WinDbg TraceView Strong experience in kernel crash dump analysis using WinDbg. Good understanding of: PCIe enumeration Device ID handling WHQL certification process Experience with Ethernet MAC/PHY integration and redriver configuration. Preferred Skills Experience with virtualization platforms: Xen KVM Understanding of QEMU device models. Knowledge of hardware interfaces such as: I2C SMBus UART Familiarity with low-level system architecture and platform bring-up. Experience working in embedded systems or virtualization environments.
