About The Role
Technical Coordinator / Analyst / Project Support – Water Quality Make a measurable impact on water quality projects across the UK. Purpose and Scope of the Role: Tetra Tech is seeking a Technical Coordinator / Analyst / Project Support professional to support its growing UK-wide Water Quality sampling and monitoring division. Based in Irlam, this role will support the Water Quality Lead in delivering ISO17025 activities across potable, environmental and wastewater sampling and calibration. You will oversee equipment management, including calibration and maintenance schedules, support performance verification, and provide technical input on a range of water quality commissions. Working closely with laboratory teams, field staff and project stakeholders, you will help ensure compliance, best practice and high-quality project delivery across significant contracts supporting UK Water Companies and in-house laboratories. Your Impact in This Position: In the short term, you will contribute to day-to-day operational delivery and help maintain reliable technical standards. In the medium term, you will play a key role in improving efficiency, supporting project outputs and strengthening service delivery across the division. Core Capabilities: ISO17025 Knowledge – Working knowledge of ISO17025 requirements and their application within laboratory or sampling environments. Water Quality Experience – Experience in clean, environmental and/or wastewater sampling, monitoring or related technical support. Technical Coordination – Strong organisational skills to manage equipment schedules, verification activities and project support tasks accurately. Quality and Compliance Focus – A consistent approach to best practice, documentation and compliance within regulated technical work. Communication and Team Working – Confidence working with colleagues across field, laboratory and project teams, with a practical and proactive mindset. Qualifications and Training: Expected: Laboratory or sampling experience, plus knowledge of ISO17025 and water quality operations. Desirable: Relevant technical, scientific or environmental qualifications, and experience supporting accredited laboratory or monitoring work. Work Patterns and Location: This role is based in Irlam. Some flexibility may be available depending on business needs, with office and operational attendance expected to support project delivery and team coordination. #LI-SG1
