Our mission is to introduce children (and grown-ups!!) to the diverse world of coding by running exciting, online clubs with individually tailored, challenges and games.

As a Customer Success Assistant, you’ll use the tools we give you, as well as your infectious enthusiasm, to help inspire young people to develop their love of coding and technology.

WHO WE ARE

The Code Zone runs exciting coding clubs for children aged 6–16. We're an award-winning edtech company that makes learning to code genuinely fun, through game-making, creative projects, and a whole lot of enthusiasm. We run online clubs with over 1,000 members every week, as well as local clubs across Essex, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire.

Think less "boring IT lesson", more "after-school gaming club where you accidentally learn to code."

Our ideal candidate

  • Friendly and approachable.
  • Passionate about technology.
  • Loves working with children and helping them learn new skills.
  • Great at communicating and able to make learning fun.
  • Strong IT literacy.
  • Confident around children.
  • Experience with high volume inbound and outbound calls.

Duties

  • Handling inbound and outbound comms.
  • Onboarding new children (and grown-ups) in to our Game Dev clubs.
  • Helping children get on to the platform, with common pre-session tech issues.
  • Assisting in the running of the online platform, including replying to messages from children.
  • Running live online clubs when needed.

Must-haves

  • Super friendly
  • Reliable and professional.
  • Infectious enthusiasm.
  • Great communication skills
  • Previous Customer Service or sales experience
  • Be based in the UK and hold the right to work in the UK

Nice to have's (not essential)

  • Experience working with children
  • Experience with CRM software.

Start Date: ASAP

Part-time hours

  • 25 hours a week
  • Monday - Friday
  • 2.30pm - 7.30pm
  • (option to move to full-time if position becomes available)

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: £17000
