About The Role

Experience - 10 to 15 years Education - BE/ME in Instrumentation & Control / Electrical Engineering Role & Responsibilities - 1) Engineering & Design: Instrumentation Perform basic & detailed engineering for control and instrumentation systems. Develop and review P&IDs, instrumentation layouts, and wiring diagrams. Prepare technical specifications for instruments, control valves, analyzers, cables, JB, trays, sensors, and flow elements, flow meters, pneumatic actuators, PLC & DCS, UPS, etc. Review 3D models Basic Electricals Working on pre & post order engineering activities Meetings with customers, vendors & internal stakeholders, etc. Prepare and review engineering documents such as: Instrument Index, I/O List, Hookup Drawings, Loop Drawings, JB & Cable Schedules, BOM & BOQ, Cable Tray Layouts Control Schemes, Logic Drawings & Control Writeup 2) Project Execution & Field Engineering: Lead and guide the E&I team in project execution and site activities. Oversee installation, commissioning, loop checks, and troubleshooting of field instruments, analysers, control systems, MCC, VFD, PDB panels, soft starters, motors, motorized actuators, illumination, earthing, lightning protection, cabling, impulse lines, turbines & alternators, BOP, etc. Ensure smooth integration of PLC, DCS, SCADA, and field instrumentation systems. Collaborate with OEMs, vendors, and clients for technical discussions and approvals. Conduct pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup support for different types of boilers. 3) Procurement & Vendor Management: Evaluate and finalize vendors for instrumentation & electrical equipment. Manage procurement activities, including vendor discussions, technical evaluation, and negotiations. Monitor project budgets, cost estimation, and subcontracting activities. 4) Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with OSHE, NEC, NFPA, and ISA-5.1 standards. Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures for site execution. Participate in HSE audits and industrial safety programs. 5) Client & Stakeholder Coordination: Engage with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure project alignment. Participate in review meetings, progress tracking, and technical discussions. Maintain strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Required Skills & Competencies: Instrumentation & Control (C&I) engineering expertise Hands-on experience with field instruments, valves, analyzers, motors, VFDs, MCC panels Knowledge of EPC project execution, budgeting, procurement, and cost estimation Understanding of international codes & standards (ISA, NEC, NFPA) Proficiency in PLC, DCS, SCADA systems and industrial automation Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills Excellent communication and leadership abilities Qualifications: B.E./B.Tech in Instrumentation & Control / Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) 10 to 15 years of experience in E&I engineering, project execution, and commissioning Prior experience in Oil & Gas, Power Plants, Boilers, EPC Projects preferred
