Senior Mobile Automation Test Engineer (Android)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced

Senior Mobile Automation Test Engineer (Android)

to join our team and work on cutting-edge projects for one of our prestigious Japanese customers.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Android mobile application testing and automation, with hands-on experience in Appium, automation framework development, CI/CD integration, and containerized environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality mobile applications for global customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust mobile automation frameworks for Android applications.
  • Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Appium.
  • Perform functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing for Android mobile applications.
  • Integrate automation test suites with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Work with Docker and containerized environments for test execution and deployment.
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.
  • Continuously improve automation frameworks, test coverage, and execution efficiency.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, requirement analysis, and retrospectives.
  • Prepare test reports and provide regular quality updates to stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and promote automation best practices.

Mandatory Skills

Strong hands-on experience in

Appium Mobile Automation Testing (Android)

  • Expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining mobile automation frameworks.
  • Strong experience in Android mobile application automation.
  • Hands-on experience with

  • Experience with Web Application Automation Testing.
  • Basic knowledge of

AWS Cloud Services

  • (EC2, ECS, Device Farm, etc.).
  • Experience using

Python

  • for automation scripting.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Exposure to API testing and performance testing is an added advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Japanese language proficiency is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Good verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Experience working with global or Japanese customers is an added advantage.
