Instructor, Fiber Optic Technician

SUMMARY Provides instructional training for the Certified Fiber Optic Technician and Installer program, a non-credit program within the Workforce, Community and Economic Development Division. Training prepares students to pass FOA’s Certified Fiber Optic Technician Exam. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Responsible for providing instruction and preparing lesson plans based on established curriculum of The Fiber Optic Association. Maintains accurate, up-to-date records of student academic and attendance performance. Continually promotes students’ development and effective use of skills in areas such as critical and analytical thinking, evaluation, communication, professionalism, customer service, problem solving, and decision-making.
