Associate Instructional Assistant, Veterinary Technology

SUMMARY Provides academic support to Veterinary Technology program students. Works directly with students assisting in one-on-one, small group, and classroom settings. Supports the Program’s objectives and initiatives as directed. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Directly supervises Veterinary Technology Program students’ homework and practice labs ensuring adherence to lab rules, policies and procedures Ensures that the lab provides a safe learning environment Assists in the development of educational action plans Assists with individual and/or small group tutoring sessions Works with and/or demonstrates various types of audio-visual materials, computer applications, and other materials or delivery systems used in an instructional program Assists in the recruitment and retention of program students May supervise Work-Study students and Student Assistants Visits classes or consults with faculty as needed Performs other duties as assigned
