Associate Instructional Assistant, Respiratory Care

SUMMARY Provides academic support to respiratory care program students. Works directly with students assisting in one -on-one, small groups, and classroom settings. Supports the Program’s objectives and initiatives as directed. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Directly supervises Respiratory Care Program students in the Respiratory Care Program homework/practice labs ensuring adherence to lab rules, policies and procedures Ensures that the lab provides a safe learning environment Assists in the development of educational action plans Assists with individual and/or small group tutoring sessions Works with and/or demonstrates various types of audio-visual materials, computer applications, and other materials or delivery systems used in an instructional program Assists in the recruitment and retention of program students May supervise Work-Study students and Student Assistants Visits classes or consults with faculty as needed Performs other duties as assigned
