SUMMARY Provides supervision to student dental hygienists during client care in the Dental Hygiene Clinic. Assesses dental health status of dental clients. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Provides supervision to dental hygiene students during client care in the Dental Hygiene Clinic Performs medical/dental assessment of dental hygiene clients Authorizes dental hygiene students to treat clients Properly manages any dental or medical emergencies Interprets radiographs and conducts radiographic and pharmacological consultation with students Authorizes dental sealants, places temporary restorations, checks emergency equipment, and consults with clinical coordinator when appropriate Performs other duties as assigned
