Student Laboratory Aide 2 - Biochemistry and Molecular Biology

JOB DESCRIPTION Laboratory Aide 2 Hourly Pay Rate: $12.00 - $20.00 The Laboratory Aide 2 will support the department/organization in various administrative and research tasks. The Laboratory Aide 2 works within a laboratory and assists with the department’s tasks. Responsibilities: Maintaining, cleaning, and storing lab equipment Preparing solutions and samples for research purposes Assisting with safety paperwork Cleaning the laboratory Receiving packages Processing lab findings and data entry Compiling instrument usage records Interacting with researchers, test subjects, and/or patients Assisting with administrative day-to-day tasks Qualifications: Active enrollment as a student at Tulane University A Federal Work Study Award (potentially) Prior or active enrollment in a particular class or course of study (potentially) Relative, prior experience working in a laboratory (potentially) Another laboratory position (potentially) About Us: This position will help student employees demonstrate and cultivate the career readiness competencies in accordance with the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE).
