About The Role

JOB DESCRIPTION Graduate Assistant Hourly Pay Rate: $15.00 WSPH Office of Career Services Graduate Assistant (2026) Position Summary: The WSPH Office of Career Services Graduate Assistant will support career advising, programming, and reporting in the School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. The Graduate Assistant will work between 10-15 hours per week, and hours are flexible around class time. This is a paid position. While this is a support role, Career Services is also looking for a student who could contribute to creative ideas for student programming based on their own experiences surrounding career and professional support. Duties and Responsibilities: · Primarily responsible for First Destination data sourcing/analysis and employer tracking · Finding and inputting graduate outcomes for recently graduated students · Finding and posting relevant public health job and practicum opportunities in Handshake, Tulane’s Career Management Platform · Supporting event flyer creation in Canva and social media management when needed · Peer Advising for resume/cover letter support when needed Qualifications · Graduate student in the Tulane University Celia Scott Weatherhead School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine (open to both residential and online students). Work study preferred. · Looking for a student who will maintain professionalism and communication, has keen attention to detail, and is creatively minded · Maintain confidentiality of student and alumni information · Looking for a student with empathy and a mindset of inclusivity · Experience navigating the Handshake Career Management platform as a student is preferred If you have any questions about the position, please contact Jeannine Coxen at Qualifications: Active enrollment as a graduate student at Tulane University A Federal Work Study Award (potentially) About Us: This position will help student employees demonstrate and cultivate the career readiness competencies in accordance with the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE).
