Student Technical Aide - Fabrication Labs

JOB DESCRIPTION Technical Aide Hourly Pay Rate: $10.00 - $20.00 The Technical Aide will support the department/organization in various administrative and research tasks. The Technical Aide may work within a laboratory and assists with the department’s tasks. Responsibilities: Maintaining, cleaning, and storing lab/facility equipment Stocking materials and equipment Preparing solutions and samples Assisting faculty and students with facility equipment Cleaning the laboratory/facility and ensuring proper safety etiquette Shipping and receiving packages Compiling instrument usage records Interacting with researchers, test subjects, students, and faculty Answering facility/lab communications Assisting with administrative day-to-day tasks Being knowledgeable of facility/department software, programs, and equipment Qualifications: Active enrollment as a student at Tulane University A Federal Work Study Award (potentially) Prior or active enrollment in a particular class or course of study (potentially) Prior, relative experience with or working knowledge of relative software, programs, and equipment About Us: This position will help student employees demonstrate and cultivate the career readiness competencies in accordance with the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE).
