About The Role

JOB PURPOSE Perform daily lifeguard is a rescuer responsible for ensuring the safety of swimmers and participants in water sports, including all activities in swimming pools . JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES No. Accountabilities 1 Main Duties and Key Responsibilities · Cleaning and maintenance of the pool for daily operations. · Supervising and observing swimmers at all times to ensure their safety. · Administer care to members/guests’ minor injuries. · Enforcing rules of conduct at the swimming pool area. · Checking the first aid supplies and reporting needed items. · Placing rescue tube and ring buoy on the lifeguard chair in the morning; returning these items and all swimming aids and pool toys to the lifeguard locker when the pool closes. · Handing out and collecting towels at the swimming pool as needed. · Maintaining all necessary records determined by the Operations Executive. Pool Safety · Performs rescues to distressed swimmers as needed. · Prevents accidents and drownings before they happen. · Performs CPR, AED, and First Aid as needed. · Inform the Head of Department of any rescues, accidents, and emergencies. · In the event of inclement weather (lightning), they will need to clear the swimming pool and wading pool of members and guests. 2 Operations · Performs pool pre-opening duties. · Greet members and guests who are visiting the sports centre. · Checking and recording the chlorine and PH levels of the swimming pool and wading pool. · Monthly pool equipment inventory. · Performs any additional tasks needed to keep the Swimming Pool and surrounding areas in good order. 3 General Support · Orders and tracks all supplies and equipment needed to maintain the Swimming Pool and pump room. · Arrange for any special machine maintenance or repair that requires outside resources. · Support the sales team on special events, including physical setups and coordination. · Assist other departments on facilities-related matters as required. · Undertakes any other tasks and assignments as directed by the Management. MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES Formal Education Diploma in Sport Science / Sport Management. Work Experience Requires at least two (2) years’ experience as a lifeguard at a club, resort, beach, sports facilities, or Water Park. Skills / Knowledge/ Qualifications Lifeguard bronze medal certificate, First Aid, CPR, AED, etc.
