Adjunct Hiring Pool - Communication Sciences & Disorders

This pool expires 05/31/2027. Applicants wishing to remain in this pool past 05/31/2027, must reapply at that time. Position Summary: Candidates are sought to form a hiring pool for temporary positions in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Our immediate need is for Speech-Language Pathologists to serve as clinical supervisors in our on-campus clinic in Greeley, Colorado, beginning Fall 2026. This is an in-person, on-campus role with the potential to continue beyond a single semester. We also encourage applications from those interested in teaching courses (in person or remote), as these opportunities may become available at a later date. Our current priority is filling the need for in-person clinical supervision. Please note that this position is based in Colorado, and relocation assistance is not available. Candidates who are not currently located in Colorado would be responsible for their own relocation arrangements and expenses. Minimum Qualifications: Faculty candidates should hold a degree at the doctoral level or at least one degree above the course(s) being taught in a discipline relevant to the specific course(s) or have earned a master’s or doctoral degree in another discipline that includes at least 18 hours of coursework in a discipline relevant to the course(s) being taught. In some cases, tested experience may substitute for the earned credential. To qualify through tested experience for instruction of undergraduate, masters or doctoral degree classes, a faculty candidate who does not hold an appropriate doctoral degree must have: Master’s Degree in Audiology, Speech-Language Pathology, Speech Hearing Science, or related field (e.g. health, medicine, psychology, education, public health). 3 years of post-degree full-time experience (e.g. school-based SLP or audiologist) in the field relevant to the course being taught (language, educational audiology, etc.). Clinical instruction faculty should also hold the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competence in the appropriate discipline or another currently accepted credential of an accrediting body. About the Department: The department offers an undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and both on-campus and distance education graduate degrees in Speech Language Pathology (MA). Our graduate programs are accredited by CAA and incorporate numerous high-quality clinical training opportunities. Our on-campus graduate programs include clinical practicum at our on-campus Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Clinic as well as at offsite clinical placements. Department faculty are active in teaching and research in the spirit of the student-centered Teacher/Scholar Model. Due to our small size and typical open-door policy, faculty have close professional interactions with undergraduate and graduate students. There are also strong collaborative traditions within the department and with other programs at UNC.
