The role- Fixed term contract - 12 Months The RD&I Local Specialist plays a key role in supporting and delivering innovation projects across the European Ice Cream business. Acting as the local RD&I expert, you will partner closely with Marketing, Customer Development, Sales, Quality, Legal, and European R&D teams to ensure product information is accurate, compliant, and delivered on time. You will support product launches, labeling compliance, digital data management, and regulatory activities, helping to bring innovative products to market while ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance. What you will be responsible for: Product Information & Innovation Delivery Serve as the local RD&I point of contact for Marketing, Sales, Customer Development, and EU R&D teams. Complete local product specifications for European Ice Cream projects on time and in full, ensuring digital product information flows accurately to customers before product launch. Review and maintain local technical product data and artwork content, driving compliance and minimizing market incidents. Support innovation projects by ensuring product information is accurate, complete, and aligned with local market requirements. Regulatory & Compliance Support Act as the first line of regulatory and labeling compliance support for Poland, Baltics, and Ukraine markets. Provide local regulatory input into compliance assessments and risk evaluations. Ensure artwork and labeling compliance with European and local regulations. Manage local deviations, labeling practices, and market-specific requirements. Monitor regulatory developments and proactively communicate relevant changes to stakeholders. Assess product claims, business requests, saleable trials, and competitor challenges using available compliance networks. Technical & Cross-Functional Support Respond to product and packaging-related inquiries from Customer Care and Sales teams using approved product information and specifications. Adapt technical content, Q&A documents, product stories, and knowledge resources for local market needs. Support local sales and customer development teams with technical product information. Provide guidance on local technical product challenges and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues effectively. Escalate risks and concerns where necessary, leveraging local market knowledge and expertise. Continuous Improvement & Digital Transformation Identify opportunities to improve technical data management processes. Support digital transformation initiatives and the RD&I digital roadmap. Drive data quality and governance within SAP PLM and related systems. Contribute to continuous improvement activities that enhance efficiency, compliance, and customer experience. Knowledge Sharing & Market Insight Deliver technical and compliance-related training to internal stakeholders. Support product tastings, competitor benchmarking, and market monitoring activities. Act as the local "eyes and ears" of R&D by identifying product, packaging, and consumer trends within the market. Share insights that support innovation and business growth. We're looking for someone who has: Skills & Experience Fluent or native-level proficiency in Polish, a Baltic language, or Ukrainian . Professional working proficiency in English , both written and spoken. Good understanding of European and local food regulations, ideally within the Ice Cream or FMCG sector. Strong knowledge of artwork development and labeling processes. Experience working cross-functionally within a complex business environment. Strong problem-solving, organizational, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to deliver high-quality work within tight timelines while maintaining attention to detail. Collaborative mindset with a passion for teamwork and continuous improvement. Key Requirements Degree or higher education qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, Regulatory Affairs , or a related field. Experience working with SAP PLM and product data management systems. Experience in product labeling, regulatory compliance, or technical product support is highly desirable. Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to identifying process improvements. Ability to work independently while effectively managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
