Journalism, Communications, and English majors are highly encouraged to apply. SUPERVISION EXERCISED Exercises no supervision. EXAMPLES OF IMPORTANT AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES Primary Duties Pitch and write original new articles, features, or multimedia stories. Contribute photography to accompany stories or editorial assignments. Assist with researching and gathering information for ongoing stories. Conduct interviews (phone, video, or in-person). Support fact-checking and proofreading processes. Collaborate with editors and multimedia teams. Attend department meetings and contribute story ideas. Help manage content for digital platforms and social media. Monitor current events, with particular attention to New Mexico, and propose relevant story ideas.
