About The Role
LLSS is recruiting for Part-Time Instructors in the following areas: American Indian Education, Bilingual Education, TESOL Education, Educational Thought and Sociocultural Studies, Literacy and Languages, and Qualitative Research. For more information about the specific courses, please visit the UNM Catalog. The hired part-time instructors are expected to teach undergraduates and graduates in LLSS courses related to the Department programs. This faculty member will be expected to participate in enhancing the coherence and effectiveness of the teacher preparation programs. LLSS is recruiting qualified instructors for the following courses: LLSS 453/580, Theoretical and Cultural Foundations of Bilingual Education/ Educ. Bilingual Studies LLSS 430/527, Teach Writing to Child Adol/ Advanced Teaching Writing LLSS 315, Educating Linguistically and Culturally Diverse Students LLSS 321, School and Society LLSS 432, Teaching of Social Studies LLSS 459/ LLSS 559, Second Language Literacy LLSS 482/581, Teaching English as a Second Language LLSS 570, Science and Native American Education LLSS 465/565, Teaching Navajo in Immersion and Community Settings LLSS 462/562, Navajo Pedagogy and Community Engagement
