Organization: Albuquerque Academy Location: 6400 Wyoming Blvd NE Albuquerque NM 87109 An Off-Campus Work-Study Position - MUST have a Work-Study Award Program Overview: The Desert Oasis Teaching Garden at Albuquerque Academy is an experiential garden demonstrating soil health, water conservation, and climate adaptability in the desert Southwest using regenerative agricultural practices. We provide experiential learning opportunities for students at Albuquerque Academy as well as produce for the dining halls and community donations. POSITION SUMMARY: ● Assist with general maintenance of the garden, outlying landscaped spaces, tools and supplies ● Perform some office functions as necessary ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: ● Assist with maintenance of garden and landscaped spaces (includes weeding, planting, harvesting, use of power tools) ● Clean and maintain tools and supplies ● Set up and clean up for classroom teaching and other events ● Performs other duties as assigned
