About The Role

The Department of Curriculum Studies and the Indian Teacher Education Program (ITEP) in the College of Education, and the Gwenna Moss Centre for Teaching and Learning invite applications for an Out-of-Scope Sessional Lecturer to teach the following community-based courses during the following session(s): Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 Sessions Course Number, Section, and Name: ECUR 311.3 (E11) Methods in K to 9 Mathematics I Term and Course Dates: Term 1 (September 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026) CRN: 92639 Delivery Mode: This course will be offered as a Lecture (Live in-person on Cumberland House Cree Nation). Course Schedule: Alternating Wednesdays. Actual class times to be determined in consultation with the successful applicant at the discretion of program; 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. No evenings or weekends. Expected Enrollment Limit: 35 Location: Cumberland House Cree Nation (approx. 4.5hrs NE of Saskatoon, SK) Qualifications: Minimum of a Master’s degree or equivalent in Education or a related discipline and/or possession of relevant teaching or professional experience. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to engaging with Indigenous ways of knowing and to fostering respectful, reciprocal learning environments. They must also possess knowledge and understanding of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit culture as well as indigenization and the decolonization of pedagogy to uplift and support Indigenous students. Course Number, Section, and Name: ECUR 316.3 (E12) Methods in K to 9 Mathematics II Term and Course Dates: Term 2 (January 1, 2027 to April 30, 2027) CRN: 33290 Delivery Mode: This course will be offered as a Lecture (Live in-person on Cumberland House Cree Nation). Course Schedule: Alternating Wednesdays. Actual class times to be determined in consultation with the successful applicant at the discretion of program; 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. No evenings or weekends. Expected Enrollment Limit: 35 Location: Cumberland House Cree Nation (approx. 4.5hrs NE of Saskatoon, SK) Qualifications: Minimum of a Master’s degree or equivalent in Education or a related discipline and/or possession of relevant teaching or professional experience. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to engaging with Indigenous ways of knowing and to fostering respectful, reciprocal learning environments.
