About The Role

The State of Utah Workforce Research and Analyst Division (WRA) is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical individual to join our team as an entry-level Research Analyst. This position plays a key role in supporting the Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics (OEWS) program, as well as collecting data and answering requests. If you have advanced Excel skills, a knack for survey coordination, and a passion for data accuracy, this is the perfect launchpad for your career in economic research. Principle Duties Employees in this job provide assistance in a variety of research projects and studies, especially in collection of data and completion of reports for management use. At this level employees are expected to: Work with team members to ensure the Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics (OEWS) program for the State of Utah runs smoothly and that all deliverables in Utah's cooperative agreement with the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) regarding this program are met. Generate reports utilizing computer software as well as design. Coordinate appropriate data collection via surveys in addition to engaging in some minor analysis. Collect, edit and validate data. Answer data requests. Successfully complete other special projects and job duties as assigned.
