About The Role

The Event Production & Technical Manager provides leadership and oversight for theatrical productions, live events, and technical operations within the Lorton Performance Center and across university event venues. This position is responsible for managing production services, audiovisual systems, event technologies, facility operations, safety compliance, and technical staff to ensure the successful execution of performances, campus events, and external client engagements. The Manager serves as a key technical and operational leader, collaborating with campus partners, faculty, students, vendors, and clients to deliver high-quality event experiences while maintaining industry standards for safety, customer service, and fiscal stewardship. This role combines venue management, production leadership, technical expertise, and staff development to support a diverse portfolio of academic, cultural, athletic, and community events.
